The pt3v alloy is a ductile titanium alloy with high strength and corrosion-resistant properties. The main alloying elements of this titanium grade are aluminum and vanadium. Further impurities include zirconium, iron, oxygen, silicon, carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen.

The strength and corrosion properties are positively influenced by the main alloying elements aluminum (3.5–5%) and vanadium (1.2–2.5%).

Titan pt3v can be easily formed in the hot state. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment, except by full or partial annealing to reduce metal stresses. The alloy can be welded well and without restrictions using all welding methods, without affecting the strength of the weld seam.
