Description:

Titanium Grade 2 is commercially pure titanium, which has an excellent strength-to-elongation ratio. The grade has high impact resistance, is easy to weld and is corrosion-resistant in strongly oxidizing as well as moderate reducing environments. It is castable and is often used for valves and fittings.

Excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments. The material effectively resists stress corrosion cracking under stress and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions. Titanium Grade 2 is widely used in heat exchangers, where despite titanium’s low thermal conductivity, the effectiveness of heat transfer is high, thanks to good strength, high resistance to erosion, corrosion and resistance to surface contamination.
