hn70u is a heat-resistant chromium-nickel-aluminum steel. The material contains max. 1% iron. The material designation hn70u means:

• H - 26-29% chromium;
• N70 - 65-71% nickel;
• U - 2.8-3.5% aluminum.

The grade has excellent high-temperature strength and high strength. It is conditionally suitable for welding. The material should be preheated to 100-120 °C before welding. Additional heat treatment is required after welding. The alloy is not resistant in a sulphurous environment.
