Duplex stainless steel 1.4410 is a steel with mixed structure of austenite and ferrite (50/50), which has improved strength compared to ferritic and austenitic stainless steel grades. The main difference is that the steel in question has a higher content of molybdenum and chromium, which gives the material a higher corrosion resistance than standard duplex steels.

Solution heating of superduplex alloys at around 1050 °C makes them suitable for high-temperature applications. Gas and oil industries where feedstock lines include high heat processes are recommended to use this material.

Cold-rolled round bars of 1.4410 can be used in applications where precision is required. Because of the material's cold-rolled properties, it is easy to draw them at room temperature. After being formed into desired shapes, the products could be annealed for added strength.
