1.4841 is a heat-resistant, austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel. Its excellent heat resistance is due to its high chromium and nickel content. This material offers strong mechanical properties, chemical resistance up to around 1100°C, and is easy to weld. AISI 314 also features good forgeability, moderate machinability, and outstanding resistance to scaling in air.
