1.4841 is a heat-resistant austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel. Its high resistance to heat comes from its chromium and nickel content. This material offers excellent mechanical and strength properties, is chemically resistant up to approximately 1100°C, and is easy to weld. AISI 314 also features good forgeability, moderate machinability, and outstanding resistance to scaling in air.
