Grade 1.4841 is a heat-resistant, austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel. Its high resistance to heat is due to its chromium and nickel content. This alloy offers excellent mechanical and strength characteristics, withstands chemical exposure up to about 1100°C, and is easy to weld. AISI 314 also features good forgeability, moderate machinability, and outstanding oxidation resistance in air.
