1.4841 is a heat-resistant austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel. Its excellent heat resistance results from its high chromium and nickel content. This material offers strong mechanical properties, maintains chemical resistance up to around 1100°C, and is easy to weld. AISI 314 is also known for its good forgeability, moderate machinability, and excellent resistance to scaling in air.
