Copper mesh has excellent technical data - it does not rust, is temperature resistant and is not subject to corrosion. Copper meshes are mainly made from copper wire and phosphor-copper wire. Phosphor-copper meshes are more resistant to acidic environments.
These meshes are mainly used for shielding rooms or devices. Devices that have negative radio emissions that can harm the environment are subject to shielding. Various highly sensitive devices are also shielded to maintain functionality.
Copper braiding is more commonly used for shielding than copper sheets. The copper mesh prevents the devices from overheating and also lets light through, making it easier to carry out various tasks with them without having to dismantle them completely. Copper mesh is also much lighter than copper sheet, so it does not cause unnecessary inconvenience during installation.
Application of copper mesh:
Copper mesh has been used in two main areas of application:
- Protection from radioactive waves from harmful equipment;
- as a material for decorating building facades and as an auxiliary material for plastering walls and ceilings.
We only offer you high-quality materials from the non-ferrous metal products category that meet the highest quality standards.
Advantages and disadvantages of copper mesh:
Appliances with screens usually use thin steel sheets or copper mesh. Sheet steel is more durable and affordable, but unlike mesh, ventilation is eliminated and there is no possibility of light reaching the object under the screen.
The advantages of copper mesh over sheet metal screens in operation:
- Weight;
- easy assembly and installation;
- light transmission;
- air access;
- higher degree of RF shielding at all levels;
- better coping with external environmental factors.
- The disadvantages of copper mesh screens include lower structural strength compared to sheet metal materials. Therefore, in cases such as door shielding, copper mesh is inferior to sheet metal shielding. Copper mesh is more suitable for screening windows.
