Heat resistant steel 1.4828 is an austenitic chromium-nickel-silicon stainless steel, resistant to oxidation in air up to a temperature of 950 °C. H20N12S2 has a similar chemical composition to X15CrNiSi25-21, 1.4841.

The described materials differ by a relatively lower content of chromium and nickel in the chemical composition. The common feature is the same content of silicon and carbon. The choice of grade is determined by the price, which depends on the content of alloying additions and the degree of aggressiveness of the working environment of the grounding element. The material 1.4828 can be used up to a maximum temperature of 1100 - 1150 °C.

Material 1.4828 is resistant to nitriding, carbonitriding, carburizing atmospheres, embrittlement at high operating temperatures and to gases containing nitrogen and oxygen.
