Description:
Aluminum round bar with material number 3.3206 is an aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy. The proportion of magnesium and silicon in the alloy is less than 2 mass percent. The alloy is excellent to process by extrusion, is weldable, age-hardenable as well as shows good corrosion resistance even in seawater. It exhibits medium strength, high fracture toughness and good formability.
Aluminum round bar can be age-hardened: heat treatment makes it stronger and harder. In addition, it can be anodized well and can be brazed and soft soldered. The rod of aluminum is not magnetizable and can withstand even the most adverse weather conditions for a long time. The material with the material number 3.3206 belongs to the wrought aluminum alloys.
