ElvaX S Lab is specifically designed for analyzing petrochemical products for sulfur content across a wide concentration range of 2 ppm to 5%. Such analysis is required by numerous international standards.
Determining the sulfur content in crude oil and petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, engine, and transmission oils is one of the most important tasks. Sulfur forms sulfites in vehicle emissions, which burden the environment. Sulfur reduces engine performance. The maximum allowable sulfur content in fuel decreases year by year. Directive 2003/17/EC (or EURO VI) requires a maximum sulfur content in fuel of 10 ppm.
