Ferro titanium FeTi70 alloy nugget 1g–5kg
- Ferrotitanium;
- FeTi70, nuggets;
- FeTi70 properties: The melting point and density of ferrotitanium depend on the titanium content. Good abrasion resistance, good corrosion resistance, high specific weight, high magnetism;
- Applications: Manufacturing microchips and semiconductors, semiconductor material in blue LEDs, alloying additive in aluminum alloys, as silicon carbide for the production of refractory materials.
Used in steel production as a cleaning agent for iron and steel. Ferrotitanium has high reactivity with sulfur, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen; it forms insoluble compounds and isolates them in the slag. Therefore, it is used for deoxidation and alloying of steel and sometimes also for desulfurization and denitrification. During steelmaking, the addition of titanium produces a metal with a finer grain structure. Ferrotitanium powder can also be used as a fuel in some pyrotechnic compositions.
Applications:
- Manufacturing microchips and semiconductors;
- Semiconductor material in blue LEDs;
- Alloying additive in aluminum alloys;
- As silicon carbide for the production of refractory materials.
