08x18h10t is an austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel, stabilized with titanium. Under this material designation, it is understood as:

• 08 - max. 0.08% carbon;
• X18 - about 17 - 19% chromium;
• H10 - about 9 - 11% nickel;
• T - about 1% titanium.

According to GOST-5632, the material consists of iron (about 65%), chromium, and nickel as main components. Chromium makes the steel corrosion resistant. The nickel content ensures good mechanical strength and excellent heat resistance. Additionally, the material is alloyed with 1% titanium. The titanium addition improves intergranular corrosion and deformation resistance but worsens the machinability of the grade.

The alloy behaves stably at high temperatures and can be welded very well with all common welding processes. The material can be solution annealed in the temperature range of +1020 to +1120 °C.
