Ferromolybdenum is a molybdenum-iron alloy. The molybdenum content is between 65 and 75 %. The iron content is around 22 - 32%. The material has a small proportion of impurities, but these have no significant effect on the properties of the material. The pieces range in size from 2 to 100 mm.

To buy ferromolybdenum, use our online store. We offer various semi-finished metal products.

Ferromolybdenum is mainly used as a master alloy in steel production. Ferromolybdenum as an alloy component improves the heat-treatability, high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance and hardenability of steels. Alloyed steel grades normally contain from 0.1 to 0.3 % molybdenum. The molybdenum content in tool steels is 3 - 10 %.

The ferromolybdenum offered has the following characteristics:

  • high molybdenum content (min. 65%);
  • extremely low proportion of impurities;
  • low carbon content.

The material is used

  • as a master alloy in steel production;
  • to improve the high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance and hardenability of steels;
  • as an alloying additive for cast iron.

You can buy ferromolybdenum at a good price. As a competent supplier, we ensure high quality and high performance.
