2.4669 is an age-hardenable nickel-chromium-iron alloy. The nickel and chromium content is approx. 70 % and 15 % respectively. The most important alloying elements are iron (approx. 7 %) and titanium (approx. 2.5 %). The total content of aluminum, niobium, cobalt and manganese is approx. 4 %. Alloy X-750 is resistant to corrosion and oxidation and has a high high-temperature strength up to 700 °C. The material 2.4669 has high tensile and creep fracture properties. Round bars made from alloy X-750 are resistant to a large number of industrial corrosive agents under both oxidizing and reducing conditions. This alloy also exhibits high resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking in the fully precipitation hardened condition.
Alloy X-750 is mainly used to manufacture components for gas turbines. The material is also used for:
- Combustion chamber of rocket engines;
- high-temperature resistant springs, screws and connecting elements (up to 650 °C).
2.4669 provides the following properties:
- Corrosion and oxidation resistance;
- high creep and heat resistance;
- very good stress relaxation resistance.
