Inconel® 718 is a precipitation-hardenable alloy composed mainly of nickel, chromium, and iron, with smaller amounts of niobium, molybdenum, aluminum, and titanium. The presence of niobium, titanium, and aluminum enables the alloy to be hardened. In the solution-annealed state, grade 2.4668 is easy to form and process. It also exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance at both high and low temperatures, showing excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking. The material offers high creep and fatigue strength, is easy to weld, and maintains good oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1000°C.
Evek GmbH supplies Inconel® 718 with safe and reliable worldwide shipping. As a trusted provider, we offer premium nickel alloys for various industries.
Inconel® 718 is primarily used in aerospace, where it is found in engines, gas turbines, and casings. It is also widely utilized in offshore technology, marine engineering, the oil and gas sector, nuclear reactors, and for producing springs and high-strength fasteners.
