12h1mf is a heat-resistant, low-alloy steel. This type of steel consists of approx. 96% iron. The material designation 12h1mf means:

• 12-0.12% carbon;
• H1 - about 1% chromium;
• М - 0.3% molybdenum;
• F - 0.3% vanadium.

The material can only be welded to a limited extent. This means that the quality can only be welded when preheating up to 110 ° C and after further heat treatment. The common welding processes for this material are manual arc and TIG welding. The alloy is malleable between 240 and 780 ° С.
