A copper round bar with the material designation Cu-ETP is electrolytically refined and oxygen-containing copper. The copper content is min. 99.9%. The oxygen content is max. 0.04%. This makes the material not suitable for welding due to hydrogen embrittlement. The material has excellent cold and hot deformability and can be excellently soft-soldered. Hard soldering in a reducing atmosphere as well as machinability are not recommended.
