Inconel 617 (Alloy 617, material number 2.4663, UNS N06617) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-cobalt alloy known for its outstanding mechanical strength and resistance to oxidation. Its unique composition makes it highly resistant to corrosion and suitable for use in harsh environments. Thanks to its high chromium and nickel content, it performs exceptionally well at elevated temperatures, particularly above 980°C. Cobalt and molybdenum further enhance its strength, while a low aluminum content combined with chromium ensures excellent heat resistance. The material is suitable for welding without additional processing.
