Copper (approx. 57-59 %), lead (approx. 2.5-3.5 %), zinc (approx. 36-40 %) are the main components of the offered brass ingots. The material also contains nickel, iron, tin, aluminum and other additives. The material is characterized by good hot formability, very good machinability and low corrosion resistance to water and various salt solutions. 2.0401 is normally diamagnetic. The grade can be soft soldered and electroplated very well. CuZn39Pb3 is also well suited for processing on automatic machines and tin baths (immersion tinning). The material is not recommended for welding: however, if welding is required, resistance welding is the best option.

CuZn39Pb3 has the following properties:

• good hot formability and very good machinability;
• low corrosion resistance;
• diamagnetic;
• very good soft soldering and galvanizing properties;
• low weldability;
• suitable for automatic machining.
