The pt3v alloy is a ductile titanium alloy with high strength and corrosion-resistant properties. The main alloying elements of this titanium grade are aluminum and vanadium. Other impurities include zirconium, iron, oxygen, silicon, carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen.

The strength and corrosion properties are positively influenced by the main alloying elements aluminum (3.5-5%) and vanadium (1.2-2.5%).

Titanium pt3v can be easily deformed when hot. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment, except by complete or partial annealing to reduce metal stresses. The alloy can be welded well and without restrictions with all welding processes, without affecting the strength of the weld.
