Description:

Titanium Grade 2 is a pure titanium, which has an excellent ratio in the area of strength to elongation. The grade has a high notch impact strength, is easy to weld and corrosion-resistant in strongly oxidizing and medium-reducing environments. It is castable and is often used for valves and fittings.

Excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments. The material effectively resists stress crack corrosion, crevice corrosion in solutions of chlorides. Titanium class 2 is widely used in heat exchangers, where, despite the low thermal conductivity of titanium, the efficiency of heat exchange is high, due to good strength, high resistance to erosion, corrosion and resistance to surface pollution.
