The 1.4404 threaded rod is made from an austenitic stainless steel alloy containing chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. With low carbon content, this steel provides outstanding resistance to non-oxidizing acids and chloride-rich environments. It is immune to intergranular corrosion and is easy to work with, including welding and cold forming. The material can be used at temperatures up to 550°C, with 300°C recommended for continuous use.
