Duplex stainless steel 1.4410 is a steel with a mixed structure of austenite and ferrite (50/50), which has improved strength compared to ferritic and austenitic stainless steels. The main difference is that the steel in question has a higher content of molybdenum and chromium, which gives the material higher corrosion resistance than standard duplex steels.

The solution heating of the super duplex alloys at about 1050°C makes them suitable for high-temperature applications. This material is recommended for gas and oil industries, where the starting product lines involve high heat processes.

Cold-rolled round bars from 1.4410 can be used in applications where precision is required. Due to the cold-rolled properties of the material, it is easy to draw them at room temperature. After being shaped into desired forms, the products could be annealed for additional strength.
