Duplex stainless steel 1.4410 is a steel with a mixed microstructure of austenite and ferrite (50/50), which provides improved strength compared to ferritic and austenitic stainless steel grades. The main difference is that this steel has a higher content of molybdenum and chromium, which gives the material higher corrosion resistance than standard duplex steels.

Solution annealing of the super duplex alloys at about 1050 °C makes them suitable for high-temperature applications. This material is recommended for gas and oil industries in which the starting product lines involve processes with high heat.

Cold-rolled round bars made of 1.4410 can be used in applications where precision is required. Due to the cold-rolled properties of the material, it is easy to draw it at room temperature. After being brought into the desired shapes, the products could be annealed for additional strength.
