Description:

Alloy 36 (Invar 36) is a low expansion alloy that takes its name from "immutable" because it does not respond to thermal expansion. Alloy 36 (Invar 36) is most commonly used in applications that require minimal thermal expansion and high dimensional stability, including precision instruments such as stencils, fine line etching and laser cutting, optical equipment and electronics. Alloy 36 (Invar 36) is also used in scientific instruments, physics laboratory equipment, and engine valves. These properties make Alloy 36 (Invar 36) material particularly important for the aircraft and aerospace industries, military and defense, telecommunications industry, machine shops, and alloys used to make tools for the solar industry to manufacture solar modules.

Areas of application:
