    Inconel® 718 is a precipitation-hardening alloy consisting of nickel, chromium, and iron as the main components, and niobium, molybdenum, aluminium, and titanium as accompanying components. The addition of niobium, titanium, and aluminium enables the hardenability of the grade. In the solution-annealed condition, 2.4668 can be formed and processed well. The material also features excellent corrosion resistance at both high and low temperatures. It is not susceptible to pitting corrosion or stress corrosion cracking. The material has very good creep resistance and high fatigue strength. It is also very weldable and has good resistance to oxidation up to 1000 °C.

    You can buy Inconel® 718 through Evek GmbH. As an experienced supplier, we deliver reliably and without complications worldwide. We are your trusted partner for high-quality nickel alloys.

    In particular, Inconel® 718 is used in aerospace applications. Components such as engines, gas turbines, and housings are manufactured from this material. Furthermore, demand for this material is high in offshore technology and marine engineering installations. Other applications of 2.4668 include:

    • Oil and gas industry;
    • Nuclear reactors;
    • Manufacturing springs and high-strength fastening elements.

    Inconel® 718 is characterized by the following features:

    • Good formability and precipitation hardening;
    • Good processing characteristics in the solution-annealed condition;
    • Excellent corrosion resistance at high and low temperatures;
    • Resistance to pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking;
    • Very good creep resistance and high fatigue strength;
