60s2a is a high-quality iron-silicon spring steel. The material designation 60s2a means:

• 60 - 0.60% carbon content;
• S2- approx. 2% silicon;
• A - very high steel quality.

This grade is characterized by high strength and excellent elasticity. In addition, the material has good impact toughness and is corrosion resistant. It does not tend to flake and is not suitable for welding. The material is insensitive to temper embrittlement.
