xn35vt is a heat-resistant alloy with a high nickel content and tungsten addition. It is classified as difficult to weld. It is most commonly used for flat springs, discs, or rotors and other parts that operate at temperatures up to +650 °C.

At a temperature of 650 degrees Celsius, the material is weakly prone to corrosion: The corrosion rate is 0.014 and 0.020 mm/year when exposed to air and steam, respectively.

The steel is not prone to pitting. The resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chlorinated water remains intact.
