The material 1.4306 is an austenitic stainless steel with a higher nickel content and improved formability and deep drawability. The core 304L/1.4306 has the variant with 10-12% nickel for improved formability and low carbon content for improved resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding.
The austenitic CrNi standard types are the most widely used group of stainless steels. Due to their balanced material properties, they are suitable for the production of many products.
