Aluminum round steel with the material number 3.3206 is an aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy. The proportion of magnesium and silicon in the alloy is less than 2 percent by mass. The alloy can be processed excellently by extrusion, is weldable, can be hardened and shows good corrosion resistance even in sea water. It has medium strength, high fracture toughness and good formability.
Aluminum round rod can be hardened: it becomes stronger and harder through heat treatment. In addition, it is easy to anodize and can be hard and soft soldered.
