The material 3.4365 is an aluminum alloy of the 7000 series. The main alloying addition is zinc and is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. 7075 is the Aluminum Association designation for this material. In European standards, it is specified as EN AW-7075. Additionally, the chemical EN designation is AlZn5.5MgCu.

It can have the lowest ductility among the 7000 series alloys. The material 3.4365 is a high-strength aluminum-zinc alloy with excellent machinability, good polishability, and erodibility. Round bars made from the material 3.4365 are characterized by high mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance. Aluminum alloy 3.4365 responds to age-hardening heat treatment, which results in very high mechanical properties. Corrosion resistance is further improved by heat treatment and aging.
