The material 3.4365 is an aluminum alloy of the 7000 series. The main alloying addition is zinc and it is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. 7075 is the designation of the Aluminum Association for this material. In European standards, it is specified as EN AW-7075. Additionally, the chemical EN designation is AlZn5.5MgCu.

It may have the lowest ductility among the 7000 series alloys. The material 3.4365 is a high-strength aluminum-zinc alloy with excellent machining properties, good polishability, and spark erosion (EDM) machinability. Round bars made of material 3.4365 are characterized by high mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance. Aluminum alloy 3.4365 responds to a precipitation hardening heat treatment, resulting in very high mechanical properties. Corrosion resistance is further improved by heat treatment and aging.
